The Association
The Musicanova Association pursues artistic goals and the promotion and dissemination of musical culture. Its initiatives are particularly aimed at young people and children, proposing significant cultural and social activities within the city and specifically in the area where it operates. Frequent performances in schools, with educational concerts, aim to introduce the vast repertoire of music dedicated to the choir.
The value of the work carried out by the Musicanova Association in the field of music education and choral singing goes beyond mere artistic significance. The choir is perhaps the most fascinating of musical “instruments,” but it is also a moment of gathering and exchange; an “intelligent” and constructive way of working together, with the noble and elevated goal of conveying cultural and social messages with great immediacy and effectiveness.
The Musicanova Association aims to:
- PROMOTE the choral repertoire through initiatives specifically targeted at young people and children, including the creation of music and singing schools, youth choirs, and children’s choirs.
- DEEPEN the study of choral music in all its aspects, from Gregorian chant to Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, and contemporary music, including international and regional folk songs.
- COLLABORATE with organizations, institutions, and both public and private schools to implement musical and cultural initiatives and projects.
- ENHANCE lesser-known works from the past or debut works by contemporary composers.
To enhance the association’s work, public performances, concert-lectures, participation in festivals and competitions, and cultural exchanges with similar organizations in Italy and abroad will be of primary importance.
The association can organize, independently or in collaboration with other organizations, associations, or foundations, music festivals and events, including those of an international nature. Special attention will be given to the creation of comprehensive editorial and recording projects.
While maintaining its autonomy, the association aims to collaborate with other musical and artistic entities (theater, dance, painting, cinema, etc.), especially those aligned with its ideals. In this regard, it will be particularly attentive to contributing musically to solidarity initiatives
